An Interview with Wedding Shed

Wedding Planning with Wedding Shed

‘ Wedding Season ‘ is technically over, but the weddings continue. Planning a wedding can make people feel a little like a bunny in the headlights. So, Home of Juniper have had a chat with a twin sister team about their wedding planning business. As well as telling us a little bit about how they started their business and what it is like working with a sister, they also passed on a few tips on planning your special day.

Can you tell us a little more about Wedding Shed, for those who haven’t heard of it. How it started? Who runs it? And what Wedding Shed is all about?

Wedding Shed is a hub of inspiration for those planning their big day. The blog is bursting with ideas from wedding experts and our toolbox features a selection of handy products for creative couples.

Wedding Shed is run by twin sisters – Rebecca and Jasmine. We’ve been mad about weddings since we were 16, when we joined a wedding planning and catering service. Since then we’ve had plenty of experience working at a beautiful wedding venue, planning events and marketing for event companies.

What made you want to start Wedding Shed?

One day we simply decided that couples needed a relaxed environment to gain inspiration for their big day. Nothing salesy, nothing fussy, just a good website bursting at the seems with expert advice and fun, creative ideas.

What is it like working with your sister?

It’s one thing working with a sibling, but working with your twin sister is all kinds of fun. It’s like working with your best friend, who happens to look like you and agree with everything you say (well most things…).

What is your favourite thing about weddings?

The personal touches – Polaroid pictures, family trinkets and the precious memories shared in speeches.

What is the best piece of advice you can give to anyone planning their wedding now?

Pinterest is amazing but please don’t fixate yourself on achieving a Pinterest perfect wedding. Use your pins as inspiration, allowing for seasonal twists, creative flair and personal taste.

What do you think is going to be big for AW 2017 weddings? Do you have any big tips on styling?

We’re expecting to see lots of natural decor, mixing eco with boho. Think gourds, fallen leaves as place cards, decorated feathers and plenty of foliage.

What new plans are there for Wedding Shed that you can tell us about?

We’re planning to make weddings a whole lot easier, that’s all we’ll spill for now 😉

…. Is anyone else really looking forward to seeing what they bring us in the future! Personal touches at weddings are our favourite part too. They make the day more unique and are always the bits that are the most memorable. We also love the leaf place-name idea! For more from Rebecca and Jasmine visit www.weddingshed.co.uk

We would also love to hear about any of your wedding ideas and plans. And would love to see any photos of your special day. Just email us at [email protected].
